The Madeline Rust had an absolute blast at Bartons Plc, as part of the Oxjam Beeston
Takeover. Not only did we get to play to our biggest and loudest audience
ever in such a unique and stunning venue, but we also got to see some fantastic
performers throughout the day, including the incredibly talented and
nimble-fingered Calm
Man Club, and the emotionally stirring sound of Thin Raft.
The organisers had done a wonderful job, and the atmosphere in Beeston was fabulous. Every one of the 14 venues was packed with eager music lovers, and over £12,000 was raised for Oxfam, making this event the most successful Oxjam festival that Beeston has hosted to date.
We were very proud to be part of such a successful event, and hope to be involved again next year!
Our next event will be at the Lichfield Guildhall as part of an evening of entertainment hosted by Lichfield Arts, who have promoted music concerts, festivals and other events in Lichfield since 1974. The Guildhall is a spectacular venue, and we will be joined by two great bands – Fire and More Fire and Third Angle Projection
